DET ANTIFASISTISKE BIBLIOTEKET / THE ANTIFASCIST LIBRARY
LA new work has been installed on the back of StudioStudio: DET ANTIFASCISTISKE BIBLIOTEKET by Sveinung Rudjord Unneland & Gard Frantzsen, the first in a planned series of billboards in public spaces. This installment is made in collaboration with Ane Hjort Guttu.
The billboard showcases a list of discouraged words compiled and published by The New York Times on March 7, 2025, based on federal agency documents. The list reflects language flagged for removal or caution under the Trump administration. Since that date many more words have been added to the list.
Future iterations of these words on billboards will follow in Bergen and beyond.
STUDIO (studio) II
STUDIO (Studio) is a residency for artists, musicians, designers and other creative professionals. The project is part of Public Art Norway's project STUDIO for The Art Academy in Bergen. The residency is run by The Unfinished Institution and The Faculty of Fine Art, Music and Design in Bergen. At the residency you get access to your own studio, workspaces and resources at the studio collective The Unfinished Institution.
STUDIO (Studio) is conceived by Eamon O’Kane, Sveinung Unneland and Espen Folgerø for Public Art Norway (KORO).
STUDIO(studio) I
In STUDIO(studio) students from KMD and Bergen akitektskole (BAS) research the studio as a physical, social, private and public space through building projects led by the artists Eamon O’Kane and Sveinung Unneland from KMD and architect Espen Folgerø from BAS.
